Favorite Quotation - 0003

Dear Jack,

I have tried hard to find the origins of the below quotation. Socrates does not have any surviving manuscripts, and thus all we know is based upon other writers. The most prominent is Plato. It appears that the most logical origin is Diogenes Laertius' Lives of the Philosophers. Anyways here is the quotation as I find it, the quotation as it is rendered in Greek, and the common translation with which most are familiar.

I know nothing except my ignorance.
