JOB

Dear Jack,

Apparently some places hire you if you know someone in the upper management. Other places find your familiarity with employees intolerable and tell you "we cannot hire you because you are linked to So-And-So". I wish I could find the first scenario. Alas, I've been denied a job because it would be in the same department as Michael. It doesn't matter that they are desperate for help, or that I am more than qualified, nor that Michael and I are not yet partners. We are too close for comfort apparently. And thus I still have no decent job, and soon will be moved from this assignment.
